Tales From Lot 358

Things are moving right along! The white oak hardwood floors and white beadboard cabinets have been installed. The siding and cedar shakes are up and ready to paint. Along the front of the house will be a hand-forged black metal trim on both porches as well as a banister up the front steps. A local metalsmith is creating the design.

White beadboard cabinets and recessed lights are in! Awaiting stainless steel appliances, black/gray Corian counters and seamless sink. We found some awesome pendant lights today at a really cool lighting store in Chapel Hill. We were inspired by the lights in 3Cups that are from a WW II ship.

View from the front door looking into the living room. The time was about 4:00 p.m. You'll see the living space gets great light in the afternoon. To the left we're going to have wall-to-wall bookcases. No TV in the living room. Our media room will be on the 3rd floor.

3rd floor, Media Room. Our flat screen will be mounted on wall directly in front of me. We are are thinking an L-shaped couch will work great for watching movies! Directly behind the media room is our office. View overlooking the woods!
